This is a small, intimate resort located directly on a beautiful white sand beach on Taveuni in the Fiji Islands.

Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages is one of the few cottage accommodation properties in Taveuni that is right on the beach. It is a small, intimate property with just three cottages (or 'bure') ensuring guests of personalised attention. The owner - Ronna - lives on-site most of the time and she also operates an excellent restaurant for the convenience of guests as well as to other travellers and residents in the Matei area of Taveuni. Meals are carefully prepared and feature locally grown fruits and vegetables, with fresh fish and seafood a popular menu inclusion. But leave room for the great home-baked brownies served with icecream!

Accommodation rates are mid-range making Coconut Grove an excellent alternative to the more expensive luxury resorts. Relaxed, private, and just steps from the sandy beach, honeymooners can indulge in a laid-back honeymoon. Kayaks are available to paddle out to some small offshore islands, or diving (pre-booking recommended) and/or fishing trips can be arranged. Couples may also enjoy all the best of the Taveuni land trips including waterfalls, village visits, bird-watching and more. Matei is a small, peaceful community and the location of the island's airstrip, serviced by two of Fiji's domestic airlines who each operate about 4 flights a day to the mainland.
